BTY BIOTAN EnvironmentalMalaysia · Palm Oil Mill Effluent · Biogas Safety
BIOTAN supports palm oil mills, local EPC contractors, and biogas developers with a focused package for safe gas handling—from preliminary selection and drawings to equipment supply and commissioning support.
Final sizing and safety design are confirmed by an engineer after project data review.
A Clear First Scope
Anaerobic treatment of palm oil mill effluent produces methane-rich biogas. When the gas cannot be fully used by an engine, boiler, or upgrading system, a dependable flare and correctly arranged upstream equipment provide a controlled disposal route.
BIOTAN packages the flare with the gas-handling components needed around it, giving mill owners and EPC teams one coordinated equipment scope instead of separate loose items.
POME Biogas Safety Package
Controlled combustion for surplus, off-specification, start-up, and emergency biogas conditions.
A liquid seal component configured for the selected gas line and operating arrangement.
Upstream separation and drainage provisions to reduce liquid carryover toward the flare train.
Coordination with covered lagoons, UASB, IC, EGSB, and other anaerobic treatment arrangements.
Relevant Export Experience
BIOTAN has previously supplied biogas handling and anaerobic treatment equipment for Malaysian wastewater projects, including equipment applied to palm oil wastewater.
Project-specific client names, operating figures, and performance data are shared only when disclosure is permitted. We do not invent project results or claim data that has not been verified.
How We Work
Send the available mill, POME, gas, pressure, and operating information.
We identify missing inputs, operating cases, interfaces, and the required equipment boundary.
Receive a proposed package scope for technical discussion and budget planning.
Final equipment selection follows engineer review, agreed standards, and approved project data.
Prepare for a Useful Review
Send what you already have. Missing items can be identified during the first review.

Normal, minimum, maximum, and emergency flare cases.
CH₄, CO₂, H₂S, moisture, and other known constituents.
Available pressure and expected pressure variation at the package inlet.
Power generation, boiler, Bio-CNG, or flare-only operation.
State, site conditions, delivery destination, and project schedule.
Free Preliminary Project Review
We will review the submitted information, identify important missing inputs, and respond with the next technical questions for a preliminary package discussion.
